About Me: I’m Kristy Carr, a 70-year-old music promoter and band manager with extensive experience booking and managing bands throughout the Denver metro area, including performances at the legendary Bluebird Theater on Colfax Avenue, with shows ranging from Chicago, IL to Taos, NM.
The Vision: The I-25 Music & Food Project combines two passions: original music and culinary experiences. The concept is simple but powerful—bring together musicians and friends along the I-25 corridor to collaborate on original songs while sharing unique food experiences.
What I’m Offering:
- Band Management & Promotion: I’m looking to start and manage one house band while promoting other original acts
- Songwriting Collaboration: I have a folder full of lyrics ready for co-writing. You’ll receive full credit for your contributions
- Regular Jam Sessions: Saturday afternoon gatherings where musicians can work on original material together
- Club Network: Establishing one venue partner in each area along the corridor
- No Cost Assistance: I don’t charge musicians for my help—this is about building community and supporting original music
Current Partnerships:
- Seamus Records (Denver, CO)
- The Well Hotel & Taproom (Trinidad, CO)
Who I’m Looking For:
- Musicians interested in starting or joining a band
- Players who want to perform original music
- Anyone passionate about combining music and food culture
- Both volunteer collaborators and those seeking paid performances
Experience: I’ve successfully managed and booked five bands simultaneously, including coordinating an all-band showcase at Denver’s Bluebird Theater.
